Almost every survivor of trauma has to deal with triggers, and sometimes flashbacks, throughout their healing journey. These can be anywhere from mildly inconvenient to positively devastating — affecting your job, your relationships, and your health. Panic attacks, nightmares, and social anxiety can also go along with triggers and can make you feel completely trapped. Thankfully, we are not helpless against our triggers and we can learn coping skills to support our bodies through them!
